When it comes to ELA and Math State testing, expectations and standards of student performance are constantly changing. Our tutors are well versed in Common Core Standards and keep current on how the standards will align with standardized performance tests. Our tutors are also knowledgeable with the Next Generation Learning Standards and how to incorporate them into tutoring for various tests.
Our tutors will perform assessments to target your child’s individual needs so they can tailor each session appropriately. The tutor will also work with your children on positive test-taking strategies, time management, and skills that pertain to a specific subject, so that when they face their exam, they’ll feel capable, confident and prepared. We recommend at least 12 sessions prior to the test so that the tutor has time to cover all material that will appear on the test.
